Step One

Especially for spring steel wires demanding high fatigue life, like valve spring steel wires, peeling the coil is crucial to minimize surface defects.
Step Two
Wire Drawing: The wire drawing process artfully reduces the steel wire's diameter through successive cold drawing, significantly enhancing its strength and hardness. For high-strength spring steel wire, maintaining the outlet temperature below 150 ºC during each drawing pass is vital to prevent strain aging and torsional cracks. Effective lubrication and cooling are essential to control temperature increases.
Heat Treatment: This crucial phase includes quenching and tempering. Carbon steel spring steel wires typically undergo lead bath quenching to achieve a refined pearlite structure.
