2. Corrosion Resistance
Exceptional corrosion resistance is imperative for many stainless steel products, including Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and dispensers. Some international buyers conduct rigorous corrosion resistance tests. These involve heating the product in a NaCl solution, then washing, drying, and weighing it to measure weight loss, thus assessing corrosion levels. (Note: During polishing, Fe content from abrasive cloth or sandpaper may introduce rust spots on the surface.)
