(1) Surface imperfections in the raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and issues from pickling.
(2) Challenges related to raw material properties. Inadequate hardness can hinder polishing due to poor BQ properties, while too-soft materials might lead to an orange peel effect in deep drawing, impacting BQ quality. Achieving optimal hardness is essential for enhancing BQ characteristics.
(3) Deep-drawn products may suffer from small black spots and RIDGING in extensively deformed areas, affecting BQ performance.
4. Heat Resistance
Stainless steel's remarkable ability to maintain its excellent physical and mechanical properties under high temperatures exemplifies its exceptional heat resistance.
Carbon's Influence: In austenitic stainless steels, carbon is vital for forming and stabilizing austenite, significantly expanding the austenitic region. Its capability to form austenite is about 30 times that of nickel. It also improves stress corrosion resistance in highly concentrated chloride environments, such as a 42% MgCl2 boiling solution.
