Based on the methods of production and processing, these sheets can be categorized into the following types:
1. Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Sheet: This involves immersing the sheet steel in a molten zinc bath, resulting in a surface coated with zinc. Predominantly produced through a continuous galvanizing process, this technique involves continuously dipping rolled steel plates into a tank of molten zinc, ensuring robust protection.
2. Alloyed Galvanized Steel Sheet: Manufactured via the hot-dip method, once out of the zinc bath, this steel sheet is immediately heated to approximately 500 ºC to create an alloy film of zinc and iron. Renowned for its excellent paint adhesion and superior weldability, making it a preferred choice for various applications.
3. Electro-Galvanized Steel Sheet: Crafted through the electroplating method, it offers remarkable workability. However, due to a thinner coating, its corrosion resistance is somewhat less effective compared to the hot-dip galvanized counterpart, making it suitable for specific applications.
4. Single-Sided and Double-Sided Differential Galvanized Steel: Single-sided galvanized sheet features zinc coating on only one side, offering enhanced adaptability when it comes to welding, painting, rust prevention, and processing. Conversely, the double-sided differential version compensates with a thin zinc layer on the opposite side, providing balanced protection.
5. Alloy and Composite Galvanized Steel Sheet: This variant is composed of zinc along with other metals such as aluminum, lead, and others, forming alloys or composite plated steel plates. Renowned for outstanding anti-rust and coating performances, it stands out as an exceptional choice for demanding environments.
