(1) Surface perfection: Free from scratches, pitting, and blemishes that could compromise the finish.
(2) Material hardness: An optimal balance is crucial; overly soft materials hinder polishing while softer options can lead to surface flaws like orange peel during deep drawing. High-hardness materials enhance BQ characteristics.
(3) Surface integrity in deep drawing: Minimal formation of black spots and ridging in highly deformed areas, preserving BQ performance.
4. Heat resistance

Role of carbon: Carbon plays a pivotal role in our austenitic stainless steel, forming and stabilizing austenite, and expanding its region.
