2. Corrosion resistance
A majority of stainless steel products must exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, crucial for Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and water dispensers. International clients often conduct rigorous corrosion tests, such as using a NACL aqueous solution, heating it to boiling, and then assessing the product's integrity post-exposure. Note: Polishing can introduce Fe content leading to rust spots during testing.
3. Polishing performance
In the modern manufacturing landscape, stainless steel products are predominantly polished, except for a few like water heater and water dispenser liners. High-quality polishing performance is thus essential. The key factors influencing this include:
(1) Surface imperfections of raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and issues from pickling.
(2) Material hardness concerns. Low hardness complicates the polishing process (poor BQ property), often resulting in 'orange peel' effects during deep drawing. Conversely, higher hardness materials enhance BQ properties.
(3) For deep-drawn products, surface defects like small black spots and RIDGING can occur in highly deformed areas, impacting BQ performance.

Heat resistance indicates that stainless steel retains its superior physical and mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures.

Carbon also improves stress corrosion resistance in high-concentration chloride environments, such as in a 42% MgCl2 boiling solution.
