Main Features
1. Weldability
In diverse applications, the welding performance of stainless steel is a key consideration. While certain products like certain tableware don't prioritize weldability, many demand exceptional welding prowess. This includes stainless steel products such as Class II tableware, thermos cups, steel pipes, water heaters, and water dispensers. Achieving superior welding performance in raw materials ensures durability and reliability across these applications.
2. Corrosion resistance
Corrosion resistance is a vital attribute for most stainless steel products, including Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and dispensers. Some international clients even conduct rigorous corrosion tests by boiling the products in a NACL aqueous solution, then drying and weighing them to measure weight loss and corrosion extent. Note, however, that polishing may introduce rust spots due to Fe content in abrasives, which could affect test outcomes.
3. Polishing performance
In the modern production landscape, polishing is a standard process for most stainless steel products. Notably, items like water heater liners might be exceptions. Therefore, superior polishing performance in raw materials is essential. Key influencing factors include:
(1) Surface imperfections such as scratches, pitting, and pickling can significantly impact polish quality.
(2) Material consistency is crucial. Low hardness can hinder polishability and lead to orange peel effects during deep drawing, impacting BQ properties. Conversely, higher hardness typically enhances BQ quality.
(3) For deep-drawn products, areas with extensive deformation may exhibit small black spots and ridging, adversely affecting BQ performance.
4. Heat resistance
Heat resistance is the ability of stainless steel to maintain its excellent physical and mechanical properties even when subjected to elevated temperatures.
Carbon plays a significant role in enhancing the heat resistance of austenitic stainless steels. As an interstitial element, carbon's ability to form and stabilize austenite is approximately 30 times that of nickel. This results in considerable strengthening of stainless steel through solid solution strengthening. Carbon also improves the stress corrosion resistance in high-chloride environments, such as a concentrated 42% MgCl2 solution.

Kaishuo Steel prefers 30%TT before inspection and the rest 70% against BL. However, our price term is negotiable. Multiple payment terms are available from us.
