Main Features
1. Weldability
Diverse product applications necessitate varying demands on welding performance. While certain tableware categories, including some pot manufacturers, might not prioritize welding capabilities, a multitude of other products do. This includes the need for superior welding performance in raw materials for items such as second-class tableware, thermos cups, steel pipes, water heaters, and water dispensers, ensuring their durability and functionality.
2. Corrosion resistance
A hallmark of most stainless steel products is their robust corrosion resistance. Essential for items like Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and water dispensers, this trait is often tested by international merchants. They may employ a method using NACL aqueous solution, heated to boiling, followed by washing and drying to measure weight loss, which gauges corrosion levels. Please note: during tests, polished products might exhibit rust due to Fe content in abrasive materials.
3. Polishing performance
In the modern world, the allure of stainless steel products is often heightened by polished finishes, with exceptions being limited to items like water heater and dispenser liners. This necessitates exceptional polishing performance in raw materials, influenced by several key factors:
(1) Surface imperfections in raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and pickling, can affect the finish.
(2) The hardness of raw materials plays a crucial role. If too soft, polishing becomes challenging, impacting BQ properties negatively. Conversely, excessive softness may result in the orange peel effect during deep drawing, compromising BQ quality. Optimal hardness enhances BQ properties.
(3) For deep-drawn items, surface anomalies like small black spots or RIDGING in highly deformed areas can diminish BQ performance.
4. Heat resistance
Heat resistance is paramount for stainless steel, allowing it to retain superior physical and mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures.
Carbon influence: Carbon, a potent austenite-forming element, substantially broadens the austenite range in stainless steels. Its austenite formation capacity is 30 times that of nickel. As an interstitial element, carbon considerably boosts the strength of austenitic stainless steel via solid solution strengthening. Moreover, it enhances stress corrosion resistance in highly concentrated chloride environments, such as boiling 42% MgCl2 solutions.

Kaishuo Steel prefers 30%TT before inspection and the rest 70% against BL. However, our price term is negotiable. Multiple payment terms are available from us.
