2. Corrosion resistance

International standards often involve rigorous corrosion resistance tests, where products are subjected to boiling NACL aqueous solutions, followed by drying and weighing to assess corrosion levels. 3. Polishing performance
In contemporary production, stainless steel products typically undergo polishing, with exceptions like certain water heaters and dispenser liners. Therefore, the raw material must exhibit outstanding polishing qualities. Key factors influencing polishing performance include:
(1) Surface imperfections on the raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and pickling marks.
(2) Raw material issues. Low hardness complicates the polishing process, resulting in poor BQ properties. Conversely, excessive softness can lead to orange peel effects during deep drawing, negatively affecting BQ properties. Generally, high hardness correlates with improved BQ performance.
(3) Deep-drawn products may develop small black spots and RIDGING on highly deformed areas, adversely impacting BQ performance.
4. Heat resistance
Heat resistance denotes the ability of stainless steel to sustain its superior physical and mechanical properties under high-temperature conditions, making it ideal for demanding applications.
Influence of carbon: Carbon plays a pivotal role in forming and stabilizing austenite, broadening the austenite region in austenitic stainless steels. Its capability to form austenite is approximately 30 times more effective than nickel.
