2. Corrosion resistance
Premier stainless steel products demand superior corrosion resistance, evident in Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and water dispensers. Some international clients conduct rigorous corrosion tests by heating in a NACL aqueous solution, followed by a washing and drying process to evaluate weight loss and determine corrosion levels. Notably, when polished, Fe content from abrasives can manifest rust spots during testing.
3. Polishing performance
In our modern era, most stainless steel products undergo polishing during production, with exceptions like water heaters and water dispenser liners. Consequently, the raw material must exhibit outstanding polishing performance. Key factors influencing this include:
(1) Surface defects of raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and pickling, which can impact the final polish quality.
(2) Material hardness: Insufficient hardness complicates polishing (compromising BQ properties) and can lead to orange peel effects during deep drawing, affecting BQ. In contrast, higher hardness enhances BQ properties.
(3) Deep-drawn products may develop small black spots and RIDGING on highly deformed areas, impacting overall BQ performance.
