2. Corrosion Resistance
Ensuring outstanding corrosion resistance is paramount for most stainless steel products, much like Class I and II tableware, kitchenware, heaters, and dispensers. International quality standards often include rigorous corrosion tests, such as boiling NACL solution and subsequent weight analysis, to evaluate material integrity. Note: Polished surfaces might show rust due to Fe content in abrasive tools during testing.
3. Polishing Performance
In today's competitive market, the aesthetic appeal achieved through polishing is critical for stainless steel products. While a few items like heater liners may bypass this process, the majority demand excellent polishability. Key factors influencing this include:
(1) Surface Defects: Issues such as scratches, pitting, and effects from pickling impact the finish quality.
(2) Material Hardness: Too low a hardness complicates polishing and leads to surface imperfections like orange peel, thus affecting the BQ property. Conversely, materials with higher hardness offer better finishing properties.
(3) Deep Drawing Challenges: During deep drawing, imperfections such as black spots and ridging can emerge in highly deformed areas, impacting the BQ performance.
