Production process and application of hot-dip galvanized wire
Hot dip galvanized wire, also known as hot-dip galvanized wire or hot-dip galvanized wire, is an iron wire produced by drawing, heating, and then drawing a wire rod, and finally coating the surface with zinc through the hot-dip galvanizing process. The amount of zinc added is generally controlled within the range of 30g/m ^ 2-290g/m ^ 2. Mainly used on metal structural facilities in various industries. It is to immerse the rust removed steel components into a molten zinc solution at around 500 ºC, so that a zinc layer adheres to the surface of the steel components, thereby achieving the purpose of corrosion prevention.

Hot dip galvanized wire has a darker color and requires more zinc metal consumption. It has good corrosion resistance and a thick galvanized layer. Hot dip galvanizing can be maintained for decades in outdoor environments. Pre treatment of hot-dip galvanized wire is the foundation of electroplating and the key to ensuring product quality. The substrate to be plated is not treated to the specified requirements before electroplating.
Before electroplating hot-dip galvanized wire, not only should the grease and foreign substances that affect the adhesion and other quality requirements of the coating on the base metal be removed, but also the surface oxides should be removed. After hot-dip galvanizing, post electroplating treatment is carried out to enhance protective performance, decorative properties, and other special purposes such as passivation, hot melting, sealing, and dehydrogenation. After galvanizing, chromate passivation or other conversion treatments are generally carried out to form the corresponding type of conversion film, which is one of the key processes to ensure the quality after plating.
Due to its long anti-corrosion life and wide usage environment, hot-dip galvanized wire is widely used in various fields such as heavy industry, light industry, agriculture, and the production of metal wire mesh, highway guardrails, and construction engineering in the form of mesh, rope, and wire.
