1. Weldability

The requirements for welding performance vary based on the intended use of the product. Generally, certain types of tableware and some pot manufacturers do not necessitate welding capabilities. However, numerous products demand exceptional welding performance from their raw materials, including high-end tableware, thermos cups, steel pipes, water heaters, and water dispensers.

2. Corrosion Resistance

A significant majority of stainless steel products necessitate outstanding corrosion resistance, such as premium tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and water dispensers. In fact, some international clients conduct rigorous corrosion resistance tests by boiling the product in a NACL aqueous solution, then washing and drying it to measure any weight loss and assess corrosion levels. Note: During polishing, the iron content from abrasive cloths or sandpaper may cause rust spots, affecting test results.

3. Polishing Performance

In the modern manufacturing landscape, stainless steel products are overwhelmingly polished as part of production, with exceptions like water heater and water dispenser liners. This necessitates exceptional polishing properties in the raw materials. Key factors affecting polishing performance include:
(1) Surface defects in raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and the effects of pickling.
(2) Raw material challenges. Inadequate hardness complicates polishing and may lead to the 'orange peel' effect during deep drawing, adversely affecting BQ properties. Conversely, higher hardness typically enhances BQ performance.
(3) In deep-drawn products, significant deformation can cause small black spots and ridging, thereby compromising BQ performance.

4. Heat Resistance

Heat resistance implies that stainless steel retains its exceptional physical and mechanical properties even at elevated temperatures, making it ideal for demanding applications.
Role of Carbon: Carbon is a potent element in forming and stabilizing austenite, expanding the austenite region in austenitic stainless steels. It has an austenite-forming ability approximately 30 times stronger than nickel and significantly strengthens austenitic stainless steel through solid solution strengthening. Moreover, carbon enhances the stress corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel in highly concentrated chloride environments, such as a 42% MgCl2 boiling solution.
