The hot-rolled seamless pipes typically feature an outer diameter exceeding 32mm with a wall thickness ranging from 2.5 to 75mm. In contrast, cold-rolled seamless pipes can achieve an outer diameter as small as 6mm and a wall thickness down to 0.25mm, while thin-walled pipes feature an outer diameter reaching 5mm with a wall thickness under 0.25mm. Cold rolling ensures superior dimensional precision over hot rolling.

General carbon steel pipes are expertly manufactured using high-grade carbon steels such as 10, 20, 30, 35, 45, alongside low-alloy structural steels like 16Mn, 5MnV, and alloy steels such as 40Cr, 30CrMnSi, 45Mn2, 40MnB. These materials are either hot-rolled or cold-rolled to perfection. Low carbon steel variants like 10 and 20 are primarily utilized for fluid transportation pipelines. Meanwhile, medium carbon steel variants such as 45 and 40Cr are integral in the production of mechanical components, including the stressed parts of automobiles and tractors.
