Classification
According to production and processing methods, it can be divided into the following categories:
1. Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Sheet: This innovative sheet steel undergoes a meticulous process where it is immersed in a molten zinc bath, resulting in a resilient zinc layer firmly adhered to its surface. Currently, this is chiefly produced via the continuous galvanizing process. This method involves the steel plate being consistently submerged in a zinc-melted plating tank, ensuring superior quality and durability.
2. Alloyed Galvanized Steel Sheet: Crafted through the hot-dip method, this remarkable steel plate undergoes an additional heating process at approximately 500 ºC immediately after exiting the tank. This creates a robust alloy film of zinc and iron, offering exceptional paint adhesion and enhanced weldability, making it a preferred choice for diverse applications.
3. Electro-Galvanized Steel Sheet: Produced by an advanced electroplating method, this galvanized steel sheet boasts excellent workability. However, it features a thinner coating, resulting in slightly lower corrosion resistance compared to hot-dip galvanized sheets, yet remains a reliable and efficient option for various uses.
4. Single-Sided and Double-Sided Differential Galvanized Steel: The single-sided galvanized steel sheet is designed with zinc coating on only one side, providing better adaptability in welding, painting, anti-rust treatment, and processing compared to double-sided sheets. To address the uncoated side's vulnerability, a double-sided differential galvanized sheet is also available, featuring a thin zinc layer on the opposite side for enhanced protection.
5. Alloy and Composite Galvanized Steel Sheet: This innovative sheet is expertly crafted using zinc combined with other metals such as aluminum, lead, or zinc, forming alloys or composite plated steel plates. This type of steel plate excels in rust prevention and offers superb coating performance, making it ideal for demanding environments.
