1. Weldability
In the world of diverse applications, welding performance requirements vary significantly. While some tableware products, especially in the class of certain cookware manufacturers, don't demand exceptional welding capabilities, a vast majority of products do. Items like second-tier tableware, thermos cups, steel pipes, water heaters, and water dispensers need raw materials with superior weldability to ensure product integrity and durability.
2. Corrosion Resistance
Robust corrosion resistance is a prerequisite for most stainless steel products. This includes Class I and II tableware, kitchen utensils, water heaters, and water dispensers, which all demand exceptional resistance to corrosive elements. International clients often conduct rigorous corrosion resistance evaluations, such as immersing products in a heated NACL aqueous solution, then washing, drying, and weighing them to assess weight loss. This process highlights the potential for surface rust if Fe content from abrasive materials is present during polishing.
3. Polishing Performance

Only a select few, like certain water heater and water dispenser liners, are exceptions. This places a premium on the raw material's polishing prowess. Key determinants of polishing performance include:
(1) Surface defects in raw materials, such as scratches, pitting, and issues from pickling.
(2) Hardness of raw materials. Insufficient hardness complicates polishing efforts and can impact BQ properties by causing orange peel effects during deep drawing. Conversely, higher hardness enhances BQ properties.
(3) For products undergoing deep drawing, imperfections like small black spots and RIDGING in highly deformed areas can compromise BQ performance.
4. Heat Resistance
Heat resistance is the hallmark of stainless steel's ability to retain its remarkable physical and mechanical attributes even under extreme temperatures.
Role of Carbon: Carbon plays a pivotal role in austenitic stainless steels, powerfully forming and stabilizing austenite while expanding its region. Its capacity to form austenite surpasses nickel by about 30 times. As an interstitial element, carbon significantly bolsters the strength of austenitic stainless steel through solid solution strengthening and enhances stress corrosion resistance in high-concentration chloride environments, such as 42% MgCl2 boiling solution.
